My name is Dr. Eva Diaz. I have served in the Arizona State Senate since 2022. I am a Democrat who is a tireless fighter for families in our community. I am a lifelong educator and prioritize effective public education, quality, affordable healthcare; and working families. While in the Senate, I have worked to champion women's rights and minority rights. I am now running for re-election to continue the work. We need a candidate who has integrity and respects democracy. I am committed to being just that. As a lifelong educator, I will continue fighting for:  • Public Education ? Women's Rights ? Minority Rights  • Working Families  • Affordable Housing  • Affordable Healthcare  • Our Latino community In the past two years, I made strong relationships at the capitol and fought against bills that would hurt our communities. I fought for more funding for public schools and universities. With the support of my colleagues, I passed a bill unanimously in both chambers, SB1315. SB1315 ensures that there is a plan in place for special needs students in emergency situations. I am running for re-election to continue the work I have started at the Arizona State Senate and I ask for your vote on July 30th, 2024. Leezah Sun
State Senator - District 22
Democratic
Leezah Sun has lived in LD22 for 19 years. She is an immigrant, a single mother, a community activist, and a former State House Representative. She's a notable AAPI advocate in AZ with a commitment to improving access, education, and resources for everyone, especially communities of color. She was elected in 2022 as a State House Representative after running a Citizen Clean Election campaign, refusing to accept lobbyist and corporate campaign financing. While in office, she introduced important pieces of legislation and advocated for the best interests of working families of Arizona. Leezah is dedicated to improving LD22 for everyone, especially working families. She's a known and experienced community leader who's been featured in AZ Central and other outlets for her organizing and leadership efforts. She values people over dark money and corporations. Her agenda demands better quality jobs, higher wages, better working conditions, more robust healthcare, and better funded public education in our district. Leezah is dedicated to fighting for these issues, and has a proven track record of championing unions and working families. She believes in improving education funding for both our students and teachers so that we can provide a brighter future for Arizona. She wants to end predatory HOA practices and unfair zoning standards which create inhospitable living conditions for our most vulnerable populations. Above all, she believes in putting people first. Leezah believes special interest groups are making a mockery of our Constitution. She's the only candidate in this race who has signed a pledge to run as a Citizens Clean Election candidate for the second time. This means that she has vowed never to take special interest or big donor dollars for her campaign. Join her with your vote, and let's put people back in politics.

Blaine "Bj" Griffin Sr.
State Representative - District 22
Republican
I am Blaine C Griffin, a proud American, father, husband, Christian conservative. I have been a successful businessman in Arizona for more than 30 years. I have coached Pop Warner football for 24 years. I am the father of eight children, seven grandchildren. I Am pro Second Amendment, I am pro-life, freedom lover and constitutional loyalist. I retired from the state of Arizona (DBME) and was a licensed realtor in the state of Arizona. I am a Cancer surviving fighter which God has declared Won! Once I have achieved many of my life's pursuits. Arizona has provided myself and my family with many opportunities. I have nothing but the utmost respect and gratitude for the state for allowing me to be an intricate part of my community. I thank each and every one of my constituents for those opportunities. Arizona has been just amazing in my humble opinion as one of the greatest States to reside in, it's probably the greatest States in our country, and for that I am truly blessed to live here. Now, I'm seeking an opportunity to represent the people, my constituents, with responsible and accountable representation which I feel is lacking with some of today's politicians. Full disclosures; I'm not a politician and I don't think I would rather be, I am a businessman and I believe that Arizona needs businessmen to handle and take care of the business of Arizonians. I vow that I will make no decisions and no laws that will interfere with the 4F's in which I stand by and those are; my faith, my family, my freedoms and my ability to be fiscally responsible. This is what I will bring to the table as representative of District 22. Let's Make Arizona Great Again!

Diana Jones
State Representative - District 22
Republican
Diana retired from 25 years civil service and 20 years in the Air Force Reserves to be a stay-at-home mom to her adopted daughters. She has resided in Arizona since 2013 and in LD 22 since 2017. Her Amateur radio license became valuable when she was a volunteer with the Vacaville CA police dept. She was a member of the PTA, volunteered as a classroom parent, and at the high school library. She was founding member of the TEA Party in Yucaipa CA 2009-2012. She has been a PC since 2016. E Pluribus Unum - Out of many one. We are a melting pot. I believe in legal immigration not illegal immigration. I am a strong supporter of the 1st and 2nd amendments. I do not support a gun registration because of what happened in Germany when Hitler was in power. Abortion is not to be used for birth control. It should only be used in extreme conditions (rape, incest, life of the woman). If you do not use birth control and get pregnant then take responsibility for your actions. Either keep the child and raise it or make an adoption plan. I am the recipient of two wonderful girls because two young ladies chose life. Kneeling for the flag does not solve the problem you are trying to showcase, actions do. If you are worried about the inner-city kids become a mentor to them.

My name is Betsy Munoz and I'm running for the Arizona House of Representatives in Legislative District 22. I am a lifelong resident of this district and a proud product of our public schools. I currently work for an education nonprofit where I coach staff from multiple schools across the West Valley on how to better support and prepare our students for their college and career journey. My experience in education has fueled my passion to run as I have witnessed the gaps in our public education system and its effect on our communities. Our state is facing a housing crisis as well where many of our families are not able to own a home and as economic development increases across the valley, we need to work to ensure our people are having access to jobs with fair wages and benefits. In this fight for our community, I will be a champion for increased funding to public schools, creating pathways for affordable housing, and ensuring the economic development across the valley supports our working-class families. I can bring a fresh voice and perspective for our community and I am committed to making sure we will have our voices heard.
