Janae Shamp
State Senator - District 29
Republican

I have been blessed to call Arizona home for over 30 years. I am a pro-life constitutional conservative, a happily married rancher's wife, bonus mom and Nana, a cowgirl, and a registered nurse. I answered the call to public service in 2022 because I knew we needed elected officials with backbone to safeguard and restore our liberties. My degrees include a B.S. in Molecular Biosciences & Biotechnology cum laude from Arizona State University and a B.S. in Nursing magna cum laude from Grand Canyon University. I have kept my promises and will continue to fight for you!
I'm a true constitutional conservative, wife, bonus mom, cowgirl, and Registered Nurse, serving my first term in the State Senate. I ran as part of the Proven Conservative Team of Shamp,Montenegro and Smith and I want you to know that we have kept our promises and worked hard on the issues that matter to you and our great state. Secure borders, secure elections, good jobs, trying to reverse the damage the Biden and Hobbs administrations are doing to our economies, fighting inflation and high prices, protecting private property rights, school choice, doing right by our veterans and first responders, restoring your medical freedom, looking after our water supply, and more. I wrote the Senate version of the "Arizona Border Invasion Act " and led the Legislature's investigation into pandemic abuses and how to do better in the future. I also wrote legislation to target child sex offenders and protect our kids from those seeking to exploit them. We know the battle is long and we will keep working hard for you until the battle is won. And we thank you for your continued prayers and support!
Eric Stafford
State Senator - District 29
Democratic

Eric Stafford is a 26 year old AZ native, certificated airframe and powerplant mechanic, and machinist. His passion for service and desire to make a difference led him to work as a veterinary technician, political organizer, and now; a candidate, running to serve AZ in public office. Eric believes in politics that supports working-class people, makes it easier for us to pay the bills and support our families, and advocates for keeping dark money and corporations out of our politics.
The reason I am running for office is simple. I am frustrated with the state of American politics, and I see a lot of room for change and improvement. I see two parties hellbent on playing defense against their own team, and politicians who care more about looking good to their voters instead of passing policies that are actually good for us. Many young people are not optimistic about our future, pride in our nation seems to be at an all-time-low, and Americans are being led to believe that people that do not agree with their political opinions should be labeled as their enemies. We all want safe borders, affordable healthcare, clean food and water, quality education, and free and fair elections. I am running to use my self for good, and to be a champion for the people who work hard, and want their taxes to feel like they are coming back home to roost. Corruption is fixable, fairness is attainable, and one day I want to see a future where we all can afford to own our own homes, and to be able to afford to go on a vacation once or twice a year.

Thank you for this opportunity to serve you! And on behalf of our great Shamp, Smith & Montenegro team, I want you to know we've been keeping our campaign promises to you. We have perfect 100% pro-life, pro-2nd amendment, pro-taxpayer voting records, and we have won recognition and awards from pro-taxpayer and pro-family groups, like the Friend of the Family award that each of us won. Speaking for myself, I wrote the House version of the "Arizona Border Invasion Act " that mirrors the bill Senator Shamp ran in the State Senate, I wrote the bill to designate drug cartels as terrorist organizations so we could better combat them and their tactics, I wrote legislation to protect our kids, and also a ballot initiative to do away with Affirmative Action and get government out of the discrimination business once and for all. I continue to serve as a Pastor and also work with national organizations to improve election integrity and ballot security efforts across the country. We'll keep trying to do what is right and on behalf of our team, as well as my incredible wife and two wonderful girls, thank you for your prayers, support, and vote!

Preserving Democracy The popular vote, one citizen - one vote, should determine the outcome of elections. I support open primaries/ rank choice voting. Eliminates partisan primaries, voters may vote for whoever they want regardless of party. Prevents any candidate from being "primaried out ". A Woman's Right With all the debates between Pro-Life and Pro-Choice it comes down to one truth, it is the pregnant woman who must endure all that comes with a pregnancy. Carrying a fetus to term should be her decision and hers alone. No government, no community, no institution has the right to force her to have a baby. The right to life, liberty, and freedoms are afforded to all in our country. To force a woman to bear a child against her will is slavery. We abolished slavery over 150 years ago. I am and have always been for a woman's right to choose and that choice should be unconditional. A woman's body, her domain, Her Choice. Amend the constitution for all women to have unconditional freedom of Choice. I run to secure our Democracy and the right of every woman to make their own decisions about their health without obstacles.
