About the Vice President:
The Vice President is elected with the President. The Vice President of the U.S. Government has the important responsibility of taking over for the President if he or she is unable to perform their constitutional duties, such as resignation and incapacitation or death. Every Vice President has their own way of carrying out their duties. Some will address specific policy issues while others serve as the President’s most trusted advisor. 9 Vice Presidents have assumed the presidency and 5 have gone on to campaign and become President.
