About the Corporation Commission:

The Corporation Commission is a semi executive regulatory agency in the state government. The commission has 5 elected members that serve four-year terms but not more than two consecutive terms. The corporation commission approves rules and regulations that involve the state's public utility companies. The commission’s responsibilities include; incorporating businesses and organizations, regulating securities, and ensuring the safety of railroads and pipelines.
