Clean Elections, Pastor Center team up for National Voter Education Week Workshop
Clean Elections, Arizona’s nonpartisan election agency, and the Congressman Ed Pastor Center at Arizona State University are teaming up for a National Voter Education Week event Tuesday, October 3.
This virtual voter education workshop will run from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and feature engaging discussions, expert insights, and practical tips on voter registration, understanding ballot measures, and making an impact through your vote.
“Clean Elections is a resource for all Arizonans to get nonpartisan information to cast their ballot,” Voter Education Manager Avery Xola said. “Our fall civic engagement and voter education campaign is about reaching voters early and often as we get ready for national, state, and local elections in 2024.”
National Voter Education Week (NVEW) is an open-source, nonpartisan voter education campaign held the first week of October that equips voters with the tools and information they need to cast their ballots with confidence.
"Arizona has long been a leader in providing voters with actionable information that they can use to cast their ballot," Pastor Center Executive Director Alberto Olivas said. "The Pastor Center and Clean Elections exist to facilitate civic engagement and participation."
The Congressman Ed Pastor Center for Politics was founded in late 2015 as a result of a shared vision by Arizona Congressman Ed Pastor and ASU to provide the practical experiences, skills, and networking opportunities for students to become effective civic and political actors. Located in the ASU Watts College of Public Service and Community Solutions, the Center promotes political engagement and public service among ASU students and the broader community.
The Citizens Clean Elections Commission was established by Arizona voters to restore citizen participation and confidence in Arizona’s political system, to improve the integrity of state government and to promote freedom of speech under the U.S. and Arizona Constitutions.
